Incompatibility error installing CUDA on Windows -


i on windows 8.1 pro , want install cuda 5.5. have installed visual studio 2013 , have latest gpu driver's version 335.23. in nvidia control panel have set cuda - gpus geforce gt 740m. cpu intel core i7 4700mq comes intel hd 4600 gpu.

when click on setup.exe file shows me error follow:

"this graphics driver not find compatible graphics hardware. may continue installation, not able run cuda applications."

i performed clean installation of latest stable driver, still cannot install cuda.

visual studio not found

what should do?

update1: turns out bundled nvida graphics driver in cuda 5.5 older 1 installed on computer. continued installation without asking cuda install graphics driver on computer. following error shown.

update2: neither cuda 5.5 nor cuda 6.0 rc support visual studio 2013. had install vs 2012 , issue resolved now

the graphics driver in cuda 5.5 installer pack not compatible (too old) gt740m.

go ahead , install cuda without installing driver comes cuda 5.5 installer. in fact select custom install option , uncheck driver install.

your 335.23 driver fine , compatible cuda 5.5
