Manually add extension to Chrome -


i have downloaded extension chrome, when try add chrome error: "this can added chrome web store". should do?

espicially want add "chrome remote desktop" here. downloaded this site. tried both answers still same error.

follow these steps

1) unzip .crx (it zip format) new directory 2) remove or rename _metadata/ subdirectory, if present 3) in chrome browser url type:chrome://extensions/ 4) check on developer mode. 5) select "load unpacked extension..." , select directory 1)
