What are the current HTML/XHTML/CSS W3C recommended versions? -


what latest html , css specifications officially recommended w3c web development?

i've searched through various sites, w3c included, find outdated sorces, or jumbled goose chase through w3's site.

i don't believe w3c issues official guidance on of specifications should use but:

the recent html recommendation 4.01. (html 5 candidate recommendation).

the recent xhtml recommendation 1.1, further work on xhtml has been rolled html work.

the recent complete css specification 2.1, css 3 consists of various different specifications reached various different stages of completeness. of them @ recommendation level.

in practical terms, should concern more browser support blessing of w3c.
