osx - creating a folder with custom icon viewable on BOTH Mac OS X and Windows -


i trying make folder has custom icon work on both windows , mac system. when downloaded onto users computer icon work on system running windows or os.

so far understand how make work windows pc (by creating desktop.ini file, setting relative path .ico file within folder , hiding these files), , have managed make work single mac os x system (by opening file info , dragging icon in). once doing seems disrupt pc icon, doesn't work anymore.

is there sort of solution works across platforms?
