jqgrid edit form generates empty space when reopened -


i have odd behavior edit form in jqgrid. when form pops first time, looks it's supposed to. if close it, , edit record, edit form pops lots of empty space between last field , submit' , 'cancel' "buttons". tried using 'height' value along 'navgrid' settings, doesn't help. in fact, if 'height' value not large enough, 'submit' , 'cancel' buttons not visible, because low.

the issue form (not modal) gets modified after reopened. looked @ source of form, , seems when first opened, height set auto, when reopened, has specified height, in case 540px.

very strange. have idea?
