php - Custom page templates with WooThemes Function theme -


fairly new wordpress.org. i've built couple of sites using wordpress.com, , have pretty solid html , css knowledge. don't know php bar of soap.

i'm building new site using woothemes theme, function. i've got wireframes done, , came conclusion should create custom page templates. upon further reading i've discovered potentially requires php knowledge. pretty clear on process involves in creating custom templates.

the custom page templates have in mind nothing dramatically different provided. intended on duplicating existing template , customising main body layout introducing divs , other html elements similar pages can consistently created quite easily.

having no experience @ level of wordpress customisation, wanted ask opinion:

should attempt make these custom page templates, given lack of php, or should create first page of each type, duplicate , modify content?
